RotanaFirms Management

Two ways to hire through Rotana

Most roles still need someone in the UAE: on site, in the clinic, at the front desk or out with customers. For those we run a local search across Emirati nationals, UAE residents and overseas candidates ready to relocate, and we prepare the candidate side of the work permit while your PRO handles sponsorship.

Plenty of work now happens in systems and inboxes. Bookkeeping, customer support, software development and admin can be done by a full-time remote employee in Manila or Cape Town, dedicated to your company and logged in during your working day. Some teams use both routes side by side.

Local hiring

  • Emirati nationals, including graduates and experienced professionals
  • Expatriates already resident in the UAE, with visa transfer timing confirmed
  • Overseas candidates ready to relocate for the right offer
  • Bilingual Arabic and English speakers for client-facing roles
  • Licensed professionals, such as nurses and engineers, with registration checked

How a search runs

Every search starts with a call about the role, the team and what the first six months should deliver. From that we write a scorecard you sign off, so screening is measured against the same standard you will use at interview.

You see a short list of people who have already been interviewed, tested where the role calls for it and reference checked. We stay involved through the offer, the start date and the first weeks in the job.

  1. Brief call and role scorecard

We start with a 30-minute call about the role and what the person must achieve.

  2. Sourcing candidates in the UAE and overseas

We search active candidates and approach people who are not looking but fit the brief well.

  3. Screening and reference checks

Each candidate has a structured interview against your scorecard.

  4. Shortlist and interviews

You receive a shortlist, usually three to five people, with our interview notes, test results and references for each.

  5. Offer, start date and follow-up

We help you put together an offer the candidate will accept, handle the conversation about notice and start date, and prepare the candidate documents your PRO needs for a local hire.

Hiring across every emirate and sector

We work with employers from free zone start-ups to established groups on the mainland, in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and across the northern emirates. Each emirate has its own free zones, licensing bodies and commuting patterns, and those details shape where we look and who will accept an offer.

Employers working with Rotana get a consultant who owns the brief from start to finish, screening that goes past the CV, and practical knowledge of UAE hiring rules, from attested certificates to WPS payroll.

  • One consultant per brief, with weekly updates
  • Skills tests, licence checks and two references as standard
  • Candidates never pay us a fee
  • Local and remote hires managed through one process

Support with Emiratisation targets

Private companies with 50 or more staff must raise the share of Emiratis in skilled roles each year, and smaller firms in named sectors have their own hiring requirements. We recruit Emirati graduates and experienced professionals for roles that suit them, and we help you plan the hires around MOHRE deadlines.

Questions employers ask

Which emirates do you recruit in?

All seven: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Candidates often live in one emirate and work in another, so we search across the whole country for each role.

What does a remote employee from the Philippines or South Africa actually do for us?

They work full time for your company only, on your working hours, using your email, systems and processes. Common remote roles are bookkeeping, customer service, admin, software development and executive support.

Do candidates pay you anything?

No. UAE law prohibits charging workers recruitment fees, and our fees are paid by the employer. Candidates never pay us at any stage.

Who handles the visa for a local hire?

Your company sponsors the work permit and residence visa through MOHRE or your free zone authority. We collect and check the candidate documents and work with your PRO so the process starts as soon as the offer is accepted.
